Volvo Trucks Academy Wins Brandon Hall Excellence Awards

Established in 1993, the The Brandon Hall human capital management (HCM) excellence awards recognize achievement in learning and development for organizations. Entries are judged on how well the training program fits the needs of the organization, program design, delivery, results, and overall impact.

This year Volvo Trucks Academy earned a Best Advance in Customer Content gold medal for its Getting to Know the Regional Haul Customer eLearning and a Best Certification Program silver medal for Volvo Battery Electric Vehicle Certified Electric Technician Training. Both programs were developed in partnership with Kick Learning.

The Getting to Know the Regional Haul Customer eLearning supports the growth of the regional haul business by teaching Volvo Trucks sales professionals to understand the needs of their customers first before tailoring the conversation to the vehicle.

The Volvo Battery Electric Vehicle Certified Technician Training is an instructor-led, hands-on course that teaches the steps and safety requirements for decommissioning and commissioning electric vehicles. The complexity of the procedures, coupled with the risks of working with electricity, required a multi-faceted approach to training and certification.

Since 2013 Volvo Trucks Academy has won eight Brandon Hall awards.
